Rosa finds a big millipede about 7-8 inches |
ROSA MEETS A FAMILY FOR HER BABY This past month we arranged for Rosa to meet with a Christian group who assist pregnant girls with the adoption process. We also have identified a potential adoptive family for her baby.
Please pray with us for the following: 1. Good health for Rosa's baby 2. Strength for Rosa through the process. 3. Funding for her medical care (adoptive families are not permitted to help by law) 4. A smooth adoption process |

A CHANCE FOR OUR YOUNG ADULTS TO SEE A POSSIBLE FUTURE HOME |

We made a day trip with our young adults. We wanted them to see the area where they might be moving in November. The adventure started at 4:30 AM & we arrived at 10:30 for a church picnic. This was a church that could minister to our young people once they move into their Life Launch apartments. |
For many of these young people this was their first opportunity to travel much beyond their local area. It was an exciting time with the church being very warm and inclusive. Our young adults were able to tour the city, visit a beautiful park, see possible future apartments, meet with a local landlord, and talk with a local pastor about jobs & educational opportunities. When all was complete, most felt better about their coming move. They are now one step closer to transitioning into adult life. |

BIRDS FLYING AROUND IN OUR HOUSE |
Have you ever had a bird get caught in your house? We had three in one day all at different times. Dog food is very expensive in Honduras and when we discovered that our dog's food had become a buffet for the local bird population we moved the food inside. We could not shut the door because Nelly was still being house broke. Throughout the day we had to catch and release three birds who followed their meal into our house. |

A FIELD TRIP TO LEARN ABOUT TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES |

This month I was able to arrange for 16 of our kids to visit a local job training program. We spent the day visiting with trainers and teachers. This allowed the kids to ask questions and think more deeply about what God had created them to do. It was good to see them ponder the opportunities God was putting before them. Pray that God will continue to open doors and guide them. |

HOUSING FRUSTRATIONS |
The clock was ticking. School for our kids would start at the beginning of August. We were forced to consider the possibility that God wanted us to look at another city close to La Esperanza. So much time had been poured into this location but we had to trust God to open the doors because our efforts were dropping to the ground powerless. God was faithful. Nineteen days before we had to be out of our current house we located a home in Siguatepeque. It is a town slightly bigger than La Esperanza and one hour closer to the Children's Home. It is a good location to do our ministry.

CAN YOU IMAGINE PARENTING OVER 23 CHILDREN? |
This is exactly what our Tias do everyday. Tia is the Spanish word for Aunt. Each of our homes are staffed by two Tias. Recently, I have begun regular trainings on parenting issues. I want to help our Tias better manage the children in their care. Please keep these dedicated women in your prayers. |

We had found a good house at a reasonable price and we thought our housing was in place for our move. Shortly after giving our two month notice everything came to a screeching halt. The potential landlord disappeared and we were unable to locate another house to rent.
